What is the Journal Author Satisfaction Survey?
For the majority of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ journals, corresponding authors of primary research articles receive e-mail invitations to the journal author satisfaction survey within a week of online article publication. The survey provides authors across the Springer, BMC, Nature Research and Palgrave Macmillan brands with the opportunity to tell us about their publishing experience.
The feedback from the 10-minute survey allows us to continuously improve the publishing experience for authors from submission to publication. Results are shared internally to help improve our processes and services, and are also used to help identify editors that display editorial excellence.
The survey covers 2,500+ PÕ¾ÊÓƵ journals and has generated over 90,000 responses from authors in the last two years. We annually review which journals we collect results from, and continuously add newly launched journals to the survey’s distribution.
In order to effectively track the data year-over-year we ask consistent questions for each journal, which allows us to identify key areas of growth, improvement, and exemplary satisfaction.
