e.Proofing

e.Proofing offers an easy way for authors to make corrections to an article, book chapter or an entire book's proofs online. It speeds up the proofing process, and minimizes correction-related errors. Reducing the time it takes to correct proof allows for research to be published faster.

How do I make edits with e.Proofing?

eproofingSN_Start © Springere.Proofing provides you with an interactive XML proof of your article, book chapter or book, allowing for corrections to be entered directly into text, tables, equations or figure captions. Corrections can be easily sent back to the production department with a single click. In addition to the XML proof, a PDF that includes all corrections will be provided for your own records.

What is an XML proof?

XML is short for Extensible Markup Language. It defines rules for encoding documents into a format that is readable by both humans and computers. It is the basic format used for electronic and print publications.

How does e.Proofing work?

  • Ensuring easy navigation, all corrections are highlighted and listed separately with hyperlinks, so that you can jump from one correction to the next.
  • You can save each of your edit sessions, and finalize your proof revisions at a later time.
  • After submitting the proof, our production managers will review your corrections to make sure they are in accordance with style guides, and have not changed the content of the work.

How can I access e.Proofing?

e.Proofing is supported by all major browsers and mobile devices (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera).
